Autumn's Concerto

Just as I promised, Autumn’s Concerto finale! I will do as much as I can before I have to have my final exams coming up. Perfect Girl Evolution is not going to be far behind and I will be reviewing Personal Preferance just to let you all know, I will post a category for it, so keep your eyes pealed, I’ll be letting you know actors etc. Which you probably all know! So, let’s get started!

Just watching the run down of the previous episode, makes me feel so pitiful to Tuo Ye, and the fact no matter how hard he tries he can’t have Mu Cheng. I’m glad he gets out of jail th0ugh (Ref Ep 16). What’s worse is the hurt he has to go through when Mu Cheng admits herself and Guang Xi got married. Tuo Ye really doesn’t have any luck with Mu Cheng, or his feelings for her either. I n a way, I can understand Mu Cheng’s feelings, she wants a family and she has Xiao Le as a priority and she has to put him first, so she has to think of his needs and wants but not her own. Though you can tell, that what she really wants is for Guang Xi to know what really happened. Guang Xi is in his own mess at the moment, and he’s confused as he doesn’t know most of the story from 6 years ago, and he is planning and making plans to what he thinks he knows. The way he looks at her even 6 years on, it’s obvious he still loves her, but he won’t let himself get hurt again, so he is rude, hostile and cold to her. Only in the precense of Xiao Le is he even remotely nice to Mu Cheng.

I don’t like how Grandma Zhang is so heartless, just because she thought she had been playing safe all this time, and keeping the past from Guang Xi, now he remembers she knows that she has done wrong and made trouble so takes it out on Mu Cheng and Xiao Le, the two who were the most unfortunate in the whole experience. All she wanted was the perfect life, well all I can say is karma definitely comes back. I think she should definitely regret every action she took, because she did most of it out of selfishness.

As the series continues, she finally warms to Xiao Le because I think she realizes that she needs a family around her and that she can have happiness even with the things she regrets and the mistakes she makes. I love how Xiao Le budges up to her on the park bench (Ref Ep 17). I think she has found a little piece of happiness after so long. Like when she cares for him and they go to the beach to do Xiao Le’s school assignment (Ref Ep 18) you can see her good and happy side.

It looks like Tuo Ye is in a way moving on, but into a very sticky situation, since he is trying to save Chi Xin. I actuyally see a potential love relationship for Chi Xin and Tuo Ye. I really feel for Chi Xin, she always seems to get the bad luck. She got traded for a hen and she guarded the man she loves without him even knowing, and she quietly hid her feelings. He actually gets injured (Ref Ep 17). I really feel sorry for Chi Xin and Tuo Ye 😦 Oh dear Guang Xi, entered the room at the wrong time, so now he feels jealous of Tuo Ye, I think he should have asked what was going on, but it wouldn’t be a drama without some…well drama!

Wow, I can’t believe the situation Tuo Ye gets himself into, he helps to save Chi Xin, but she obviously in such a distraught state that she wants to stop the shouting and screaming so she murders Fang Ge (Rep Ep 19). Which leaves the both of them in a very dangerous state because obviously unless they can get themselves and alibi, they have to go to prison for committing a crime. I’m so glad that Guang Xi is going to help defend Tuo Ye. I can’t believe he put himself forward willingly, but it shows that there is hope for Chi Xin and Tuo Ye!

I love how Mu Cheng and Guang Xi are trying so hard to show that they don’t care for eachother and that they no longer have feelings for one another, yet it is so blatent to everyone else around them except themselves that they still love and cherish eachother. Mu Cheng is more clear in her feelings because she won’t deny it and she still tries to help and care for Guang Xi but he tries to save face a lot of the time.

I like how Mu Cheng goes and visits the suicidal girl, because she is so caring to everyone she actually helps the suicidal girl move forward (Ref Ep 17). She’s doing this to try and help Guang Xi, and to try and make the girl see that Guang Xi had lost his way and that he is still the same person she once knew and he really was sorry for helping Li Wang Cai win when he was guilty.

Poor Mu Cheng always being misunderstood, she tries so hard for others and tries to do it all by herself, and no one can see that. Since Guang Xi seems bent on revenge he can’t see underneath. I hate it when people try to destroy Guang Xi and Mu Cheng’s little ounce of happiness they rarely get, and they’re always on the rocks as it is. I have never seen Mu Cheng jealous before, and you can tell Guang Xi is happy because it makes him feel wanted and reassures him of how she feels for him. I hate how much Guang Xi misunderstands Mu Cheng, he can’t even relate to or understand her, he is acting like a spoilt and jealous, immature man when he makes her choose again like that (Ref Ep 19). Only his mother can fully understand because she in a way was in that situation, and she’s finally realized that what she did 6 years ago was wrong. I also admire that she says sorry to Mu Cheng, and she is finally building bridges with her, things are finally being patched together (Ref Ep 20).

I actually had to cry for Chi Xin, she finally recovered her memory and even admitted it to the court, so Tuo Ye got let off and Chi Xin didn’t have the court come down hard on her due to her condition. I love the fact Tuo Ye cleared up the last of Guang Xi’s arguments and also his thoughts on him and Mu Cheng, he admits the truth from what happened 6 years ago (Ref Ep 20).  I also like how Guang Xi learns about his father and realizes his mother is not as bad as she thought.

I think that episode 20, is when the truth comes out and things take a drastic turn for the final episode. I think Guang Xi finally realizes his actions to Mu Cheng, without discovering the truth first was horrible but to secure her feelings for him once again he obviously wants to do something. He clearly doesn’t want to let her go, but the thing he realizes is that if she really does not feel anything for him anymore, he cannot force her. I love how much chemistry comes out in the actors throughout the film, they are so well mixed and they act really well as a whole. I am so impressed that they have managed to keep it up the whole way through, in each and every episode. So, everything is coming together for the final episode. I can’t believe Guang Xi (Ref Ep 20). Yet, no drama is ever left on a cliffhanger, neither are most romances such as this a sad ending!

I love the final episode, it is the perfect ending to the perfect drama. Xiao Le is like a little cupid (Ref Ep 21) and is absolutely adorable, he just wants to see his parents together and for him to be in a happy home, a happy family and with a happy ending. I couldn’t help but find it amusing how he played cupid with Guang Xi and Mu Cheng. Yet, I am glad that the drama has a happy ending and something that actually seems like real love, the acting is so enjoyable to watch. Guang Xi and Mu Cheng are finally happy with themselves and eachother, the truth is revealed and no upset, no remorse and no regret. Just like a Taiwanese drama should be!

Even at the start of this finale, I love to watch their acting, they work together so well. Vanness Wu, really has pulled it out of the bag and I must say that this has to be the best drama I have seen him in, and I will watch many more of Ady An’s drama’s that she stars in. I have to recommend this drama to anyone no matter their preferences. It has brilliant acting, atmosphere and the chemistry between each character is just superb! I loved every minute of this drama and would gladly watch it all over again!

This is finally, my next installment for Autumn’s Concerto, just to let you know Momo Love isn’t far behind! The next few episodes seems to be proper heartwrenchers so stay reading my reviews and the ones to come!

Tuo Ye really is too hot headed about Guang Xi setting up the whole village, when he clearly hasn’t got a clue. The way the villagers treat Guang Xi is a bit rude at the start of Episode 11 as they have no proof. The way Mu Cheng looks at Guang Xi when he leaves, it’s as if he’s feeling an emotion he cannot understand. Tuo Ye is blinded by jealousy; it’s about time he let go. I don’t like Chi Xin that much, I feel bad for her when she is rejected by Tuo Ye even if she is simple minded, she still has every right as everyone else to want to be loved. It’s nice that they give Guang Xi a second chance because slowly his old memories and personality is coming back.

In a way I do like Yi Qian for being a nice person but I have personally never liked love triangles that are this complex, and there is soon to be a time when she will begin to lose him, and turn to selfishness. Out of all the characters, she will be the one hurt the most, because she never thought that Mu Cheng would one day reappear, that Xiao Le maybe want to find his dad. It’s a cruel trick of fate, but she in a way wanted him to herself, she was already being selfish without realizing it, and quietly obeyed Guang Xi’s mother.

Even with no memory of before the 6 years, he is still affected by Mu Cheng deeply and Xiao Le, he can feel a connection much deeper for the both of them but doesn’t know why. Ren Guang Xi and Xiao Le really are like father like son, yet without even noticing. Tuo Ye and Guang Xi are having minor competition with no need to be, but it’s just their links from before.

It’s ironic, how they go back to Sheng De University where everything began and the beginning for the two of them, memories. It’s even more ironic, that they are both locked in the same room, where they found the bird and he told her that story; deja vu. He is slowly recollecting his memories through flashbacks. I think without realizing it Mu Cheng wanted Guang Xi the man she loves to come back to her and for him to remember, by going back into that room, but she didn’t realize she had done it until his flashbacks begin. It must be an awkward situation for her, because she must want to tell him she was in that room with him before, but she can’t for the sake of everyone and everything else, including the lies that she has been forced to keep.

He desperately wants to remember. I really feel sorry for him in his situation when he says living his life is like living a life of a complete stranger, and slowly Mu Cheng is revealing to him the truth about him, his childhood and his past. I love how his progress to becoming the old him, is becoming visible. As I watch him slowly remembering, I still feel sadness watching Mu Cheng endure it, since his remembering is taking such a long time. She really is brave.

When Tuo Ye’s mother tells Guang Xi about how Mu Cheng came to be at the village, I really wanted him to remember, and when Xiao Le said Guang Xi smells like his dad, that really wanted to make me cry, yet I really pity Tuo Ye. He knows he can’t win but he still tries so hard. I love how he remembers in the thunder, just like the night they stayed together, that’s the flashback. The conversation they are having (Ref Ep 12) is so awkward, for her since she for one has to talk about herself as another person and him as someone else. Frustrating!

Personally I think Yi Qian and Tu Ye match together better, and also those two are completely unaware of what is about to happen. The reaction on Yi Qian and Mu Cheng’s face; explain everything. Aww the god of bathwater, that’s so cute. They really do, have a relationship that isn’t just of friendship, since I would never ever see a man quite so willingly get in a bath with a child they knew for a month.

She still has that photo of the two of them together, he really is connected, you can see the sorrow, that he feels like he doesn’t want to leave. I also noticed that Yi Qian isn’t all that nice and sweet, I do feel sorry for her but you can sense something bad is coming, and that his mother is a real stick in the mud. Mu Cheng, did never hurt Guang Xi, she did it because she was forced, I feel bad that Mu Cheng gets it aimed at her. I can understand, both of their feelings and arguments, but it was all instigated by Guang Xi’s MOTHER.

It’s cute how Tuo Ye tells her, his feelings…but the problem is even if she reluctantly agrees, she doesn’t love him and cannot reciprocate these feelings. She is trying so much harder than Yi Qian to be strong. She is doing it because she wants him to be happy and she is keeping to what she was told to do. That is far harder, than anything. To keep in those tears of sorrow and mask it with happiness. The moment between Guang Xi and Xiao Le, is so amazing, but with so much sorrow, you just want to scream Xiao Le is his.

Oh dear, Xiao Le goes after Guang Xi, and meets his grandmother without even knowing. Talk about deja vu. He faints oh dear 😦 and then once again everyone meets….like fate giving them all a cruel twist. Xiao Le brings them together, maybe for the best, but to get to the green grass it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

No matter though, how much I hate her, she didn’t know anything about Mu Cheng or Guang Xi and their relationship or what really happen, she does what she did based on what Guang Xi’s mother told her, and looked after him for so long, no wonder she would fall in love with him. How they all race to donate blood, and she denies Guang Xi for the simple reason, he’d find out he’s Xiao Le’s father.

So, Yi Qian discovers the truth, and Guang Xi’s mother really does hate Mu Cheng, yet I really don’t see why, and yet again treats her like rubbish. I hate that woman. I can understand Tuo Ye is trying to do good, but his natural hate before Guang Xi, is just proving there is a past that needs to be covered up, and Guang Xi really cannot answer half the questions Tuo Ye blames Guang Xi for.

Guang Xi, seems as if he is going to regret being with Yi Qiang, he is clearly drawn to Xiao Le by the natural instincts of a father, which pains Yi Qian because she has to lie, but Mu Cheng has had to hide it for much much longer. That professor, I really like him, he actually gives Guang Xi a straight answer, that is neither a lie, nor the truth; but instead an open doorway, to the answer he wants. He finds it, in the bracelet that has always been a link to his past, he really has opened Pandora’s box.

The way he changes instantly, to who he was before he met Mu Cheng, blaming it all on Mu Cheng is a misunderstanding. They are both now in full turmoil, he doesn’t realize the reason Mu Cheng really had to leave, and also she won’t admit because she is too scared, but also now doesn’t want Guang Xi to hate his mum, more than he already does. Now, they’re all going to have to go through another bad battle, to only finally realize the truth.

In a way, I am happy, I know it will all turn out well in the end, even if he only does want to marry Mu Cheng to let them both have Xiao Le, but you know he will find out the truth of what his mother has done in the end, and love will once again reign over the two. I like how Yi Qian and Guang Xi leave on good terms. It’s nice, maybe he is slowly beginning to see that maybe Mu Cheng didn’t do it because she didn’t want to, she had to. He also still doesn’t get the picture about Tuo Ye and her either. Which is REALLY irritating.

Vanness Wu, really has astounded me with his acting, I have never seen him on his own in a drama, apart from Peach Girl, but this is amazing. He really has talent and skill, Ady An can really pack a punch with her acting also. Together the chemistry is just fizzing and really boiling over.

Anyway, this review is extremely long, I’m sorry. I shall upload Momo Love ASAP. I also look forward to the next episodes to come, as you can see Pandora’s box is going to be solved.

During, the next 5 episodes of this drama, I was astounded by just how bittersweet the emotions were. Within the first episode I noticed every feeling just pouring out, sadness, happiness, love, care, jealousy, frustration everything. It was enough to just make you cry at the things they said to each other and the strain their relationship suddenly had to put through. In Episode 6, their relationship suddenly has a time limit, and the moments they spend together are even more upsetting and bitter to watch, with an essence of sweetness.

The sacrifice that Mu Cheng must put herself up for, is horrible, in order for Guang Xi, to start a new life. I think his mother, thinks she is doing the right thing, but she is horribly wrong, she’s too high on her horse and really has to get off of it, or else she will lose her son, maybe not at the present, but definitely in the future. The pain Guang Xi, has to endure, is a good thing that he forgets it because otherwise, to wake up after the operation would be plain heartache. I have honestly never seen a drama so heartfelt, painful and romantic apart from this one. The two main characters are astounding together. I love this drama.

Even after all the time, they haven’t seen each other for so long, they are still connected to one another. He still holds that bracelet, and hopefully the flashbacks will become more vivid. Guang Xi has in a way changed his attitude towards how he treats people, I also noticed how unethical Guang Xi has become about his job. Such a shame really, he was a much better man when he knew Mu Cheng. He knew the differences between right and wrong. Mu Cheng is still as soft and caring as always. Xiao Le, is absolutely adorable, she clearly only wants Xiao Le right now, because she can only love Guang Xi in her life.

It’s kind of sad to watch when Xiao Le asks her questions and Mu Cheng is trying hard to hide her emotions and to block her memories. The lives they have made separately, you can see they are missing something, and even to the audience it doesn’t feel right. Ady An and Vanness Wu, really do have amazing chemistry together, even when he doesn’t remember her it’s astounding to see their connection. They play their parts exceptionally well, and Tuo Ye (Chris Wu) for sticking by Mu Cheng, even though it’s one sided love. I can’t help but admire Yi Qian (Tiffany Wu) for enduring all of that, but the burden to know that he loved someone before her but also because you can tell who he’ll end up with in the end.

Even in later episodes, you can sense bitterness in their hearts, because there is a hole in both. For Mu Cheng, it must hurt so much, and then for Guang Xi, to not even remember what made him happy and to only now start remembering, and even then it’s blurred, so it’s confusing him. I’ve also noticed, that some old faces are reappearing, but not for good causes (Yi Qian’s dad).  There is a sense of deja vu, with this whole thing. It’s beginning again, the courtcase resembled what happened to Mu Cheng before and the 240 hours of community service, he did that with what happened with his car and bus!

I really cannot wait, until Guang Xi’s mum has all of this blow up in her face, she really is too selfish. Thinking for herself, she doesn’t realize to what extent they loved each other and that 6 years ago Mu Cheng was carrying his child!  The moment Xiao Le saw Guang Xi, I actually almost cried. It was such a sweet moment, but Guang Xi knows nothing, and that’s what really upset me, little children are so naive. I really feel Mu Cheng’s pain of seeing her past lover, but to know he doesn’t remember is more pain than everm and when he says he lost all his memories before those 6 years, that must have felt like taking a bullet. As time passes by at the village, you can clearly tell he’s beginning to get relaxed and actually enjoy himself there, his memories from his past are getting so much more vivid, I really hope he can remember soon.

I greatly anticipate the last few episodes, because no matter how sad this drama gets, I have that urge to watch it and hope for happiness. Please keep waiting for my next review!

I have decided to review Autumn’s Concerto, as I was looking for a new drama to watch and going through lists. I have so far reviewed all 5 of the first few episodes. So Enjoy!

I found this drama, a deeply emotional drama, and it is only just the beginning, so I wonder what the rest of the drama has in store for us viewers.

Autumn's Concerto 1

It is a very cliche and predictable drama; the sweet and innocent girl attracts the deeply scarred man by his past but he applies the hard faced man. A hate towards eachother on their first meeting which turns to love, which always happens in the majority of asian dramas whether it be a chinese, japanese or korean drama.

I noticed the relationship between the two main characters fast forwarded. The male role changes due to her influence in just 2 episodes. I’m usually not very keen towards dramas that take this route but the acting was terrific and the sped up emotions between the two main characters seemed to fit really well. I will learn not to be so skeptical next time I’m browsing for dramas.

The acting was amazing, Vanness Wu can portray; cocky, vulnerable, sad, anger – all of these different emotions spectacularly as Ren Guang Xi hi character. Ady An is an actress I have not seen, as I have not watched any dramas wih her in which I regret now because her acting is superb along side Vanness Wu, and they both create a realistic feeling to the drama and as a drama reviewer I look for these qualities in the selected cast.

The storyline is the first thing that attracted me to the drama, I like the twists and turns in it, they have simple answers to each problem they are faced yet the each take complicated paths.

The pasts of the main roles is very deep and emotional, one taking it far better than the other, but in a way Mu Cheng (Ady An) helps him out of the darkness he has surrounded himself in.

The chemistry between them keeps bubbling and bubbling. This is why I love it, and I’m sure many reviewers like myself love these types of drama because it gives us something great to watch and a joy to write about. Ady An is great as Mu Cheng; quiet, preserved, but with a strong heart to keep moving on and to hole Ren Guang Xi out of the misery he wallowed himself in when he first met her.

I hope to see a spectacular drama as it continues to unfold.
